Private and Public Scientific, Academic and Consumer Food Policy Group · Annual, each fall
Founded in 1993 by Professor Ray Goldberg, PAPSAC convenes senior leaders across industry, government, academia, and consumer organizations for candid discussions on food policy, regulation, markets, and public trust. It is a university-wide seminar to broaden communication among farmers, business leaders, scientists, public policy leaders, academics, not-for-profits, and consumer activists on topics of mutual concern to participants of the global food system and the society that it serves.
Annual public conversation with leaders of the food system
Each year the program hosts a public fireside chat with senior leaders shaping how the world is fed. The 2026 conversation featured Denis McDonough, CEO of Feeding America, and Julie Gehrki, President of the Walmart Foundation, on food affordability.
